Storm Damage Report

Last Updated March 16, 2025 at 3:30 pm
We have significant damage throughout the district, but are fortunate that no one was injured in our facilities. In summary, these are the major things we are aware of at this time.
- Mark Twain: The cafeteria roof was completely removed from the building. There was significant window damage from debris on the Salem Avenue side of the building. Several classrooms have moderate water damage and debris.
- Wyman: The roof area in the front hall of the building was significantly damaged. Several of those classrooms have significant water damage. The outside storage buildings were destroyed. The playground has substantial debris and noted damage.
- Middle School: There is significant damage to the roof in the area around the auditorium. We note 17 rooftop units that were destroyed/displaced, which in turn caused additional damage by allowing water into the classrooms. Six classrooms have substantial water damage, while approximately a dozen more have some level of flooding. The auditorium also sustained water damage. Dozens of large trees around the school are on the ground.
- Softball Field: The concession stand/press box is destroyed. All of the bleacher units are destroyed. The backstop and fence are also destroyed. The dugouts have substantial damage.
- Transportation/Maintenance: One garage door on the bus barn was destroyed. Bus damage was minimal but does include some broken windows. The power poles to the North of the building were broken and pulled the electric service line hard enough to damage the building. Maintenance buildings lost shingles and fences were destroyed. One of the band trailers and the band truck were hit by a falling tree.
- Other: RTC/Central Office has some damage to soffits and trim. All buildings lost food supplies due to no power.
- Rolla Junior High, Rolla High School, Truman, and RTI will be thoroughly inspected, but do not appear to have major damage.
