Lunch Program

The Rolla #31 School District is offering free meals to all (enrolled students/children ages 18 and under) under COVID-19: Child Nutrition Response #85 Nationwide Waiver to Allow the Seamless Summer Option through School Year 2021-2022.  Households are still encouraged to complete and apply for free and reduced-price meals to the district for processing.  Free and reduced data is used to help maintain meal count system requirements, report to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for funding formulas, and establish eligibility for other benefits, particularly Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) and Emergency Broadband Benefit.  Rolla #31 announced its revised free and reduced-price policy for school children offered meals in schools under the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program.

We participate in the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs. Those standards provide a balanced and nutritious meal. At the secondary level, students have a choice to select a minimum of three of the five food components for the lunch including meat, grain (bread), fruit/vegetable and milk.

Any second meals will be purchased at full cost. Full price breakfast meals are $1.45 at all campuses. Full price lunches cost $2.15 at all elementary and middle schools and are $2.35 at the Junior High and High School. Reduced meal prices at all schools are as follows: Breakfast $0.30 and Lunch $0.40.

Free and Reduced Information: All RPS students may apply for free or reduced meals by completing an online application at this link: Rolla 31 Free & Reduced Meal Application. Online Meal Payment System

Rolla Public Schools is pleased to offer our online meal payment system, mySchoolBucks! mySchoolBucks allows parents to make deposits into students' school meal account, view account balances and cafeteria purchases.


Medical Dietary Needs

Students with health issues requiring special dietary needs must submit a completed Medical Statement for Student Requiring Meal Modification to the school nurse before any meal accommodations will be considered. The form must state the medical reason, list the food(s) to be omitted, name substitutions, and be signed by the child's doctor and a parent or guardian. Updated forms are required when changes to the information on file are necessary. USDA guidelines obligate public schools to furnish substitutions only for those dietary issues which are deemed disabling or severe and only when the required documentation has been submitted. The nurse will notify the cafeteria staff when a completed form is submitted. Appropriate meal replacements may be provided as directed by the Dept. of Elem. & Secondary Education (DESE) and/or as indicated by the child's doctor.
