Public School & Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri

PSRS was created with the adoption of The Public School Retirement Act of Missouri and its approval by the governor and became effective July 1, 1946.

PEERS (formerly NTRS) was created with the adoption of HB 88 and its approval by the governor and became effective on October 13, 1965.

PSRS/PEERS is a corporate body and is not assigned to any department of state government. Administrative expenses are paid entirely out of investment earnings.
