School Closure Update 3/18/20 - Learning Plans

Dear Rolla 31 Families and Community Members,

As a precautionary measure regarding the spread of COVID-19, the Rolla 31 School District has canceled all classes for the week after Spring Break; March 30 through April 3.  In order to keep students engaged in learning activities, district teachers have worked to create a “Five Day Learning Plan” for each grade level and subject area for that week.  These learning plans are designed to give parents and students resources and activities to review key concepts in each area and ensure that a learning slide is minimized during this time.  We understand not all families have easy access to devices (computer, laptop, chromebook, etc.) and/or reliable internet access. With that in mind, the plans have multiple options available so that all students can engage in valuable learning activities.  We hope you will find these resources helpful and a meaningful use of your child’s time away from school.

You will be contacted by your child’s school with more information about accessing the learning plans no later than March 30, after the conclusion of Spring Break.  In the meantime, we hope you stay well and get to spend quality time with your families. Our current plan is to resume classes on Monday, April 6, 2020. Should that change due to continued concerns with COVID - 19, we will communicate an instructional plan designed for a more long term closure.

Details on the coordinated efforts between Rolla Public Schools and community food distribution organizations will be sent out tomorrow. Please visit our website at this link for the most up to date information: http://bit.ly/Rolla31News Thank you for your continued support.
