Due to forecasted snowfall and hazardous secondary and rural road conditions, school will not be in session on Friday, January 10, 2025. While we saw some improvement in road conditions, parking lots, and sidewalks today, many surfaces have already begun to refreeze this evening making road conditions unsafe. This, compounded by overnight snowfall will make morning travel difficult. The sidewalks and crosswalks surrounding the district remain covered by ice and snow from clearing efforts.
Temperatures are forecasted to rise next week and we are looking forward to seeing students and staff on Monday. Thank you for your patience and understanding during weather events. Canceling school is never an easy call to make, but as always, the safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority.
Once again, thanks to the city and county road crews and the R31 custodial and maintenance teams for their hard work in these treacherous conditions.
