COVID-19 Communications from Rolla Public Schools

The Rolla School District will continue to work closely with local health officials to monitor evolving circumstances and revise our operational plans as needed. In an effort to focus communications surrounding COVID cases, moving forward, we plan to notify only those in the same building as an individual who has tested positive. We have placed a dashboard below where you can view reporting information for the entire district. Those who are identified as close contacts to an individual testing positive will be notified by the health department. If you have not been contacted by the health department, your child was not found to be in close contact with the individual who tested positive.

At any one time, we may have a number of staff members quarantined due to close contact with a positive case. Students and staff who are impacted by those absences will be contacted. We do not plan to identify those individuals in an effort to respect privacy and personal information. Also, only on-campus cases will be reported through Rolla Public Schools. Virtual student positive cases, for example, will not be tracked through our system.
COVID-19 is thought to be spread via person-to-person contact through contaminated air droplets exhaled by an infected person. As with controlling the spread of other viruses, we urge everyone to take preventive measures and monitor for symptoms daily. More information on our guidelines can be found on our website under Return to Learn. It is truly a community effort to minimize the spread of the virus and help us keep our schools safe, healthy, and open.

The dashboard numbers below are fluid and represent the number of current active cases on the day they are posted. Numbers will be updated daily, or as cases are reported. Questions regarding this information can be directed to
